TEMP GAUGE

HI ALL

MY TEMP GAUGE SEEMS TO HAVE GONE BUT CAR ISNT USING ANY WATER AND HEATER WORKING FINE BEEN TOLD THERES A SENSOR THAT GOES INTO THE WATER BOTTLE ANYBODY KNOW IF THIS IS RIGHT AND WHA THE SENSOR IS CALLED SO I CAN GET A NEW ONE

Welcome to the forum.
The temp sensor for your gauge lives right at the back of your engine. Check the blue wire is still attached.


As yours is a 2.2 it doesn't have the DIS pack
PS please don't shout ...............  use your Caps Lock  ;) ;)

Hi and welcome matey.......coolant level sensor is in the expansion tank...have to remove expansion tank to take out from underneath it.....i thought that the level sensor only told you about the water level.....there is a temperature sender unit some where on the car but not sure where.....would have thought maybe that may be you problem...however i am sure one of these guys on here can tell you for definately.. :y

Seeing as Andy beat me to this one  ::)

I will just add that the connector is a spade type that slides onto the small circular connection (bit like a nail head). Bet it's fallen off.

If it's the sender that's faulty it's going to be really awkward to get to, but not impossible
