No way can than be done! many moons ago I collected a brand new, unregistered car from Leeds, to take to a garage in Darlington, was working as a Junior car salesman at the time... :D :D

I cant remember the exact details but I had not got far up the A1 before I noticed things were not right, eventually I pulled in and found that one front wheel had only one wheel nut on and that was loose, lucky escape :) I tightened it up and pinched one nut from 2 other wheels to get me home, my boss went mad with the other dealer as the car was supposed to have had a PDI before I collected it.... :) :)

Trying to remember, but I think the car was a Chrysler (Simca) Alpine.... :-X

more like the dopey idiots at thick fit forgot to put them on ;D

but I don't think it would be possable do drive all that way without a wheel falling off.

I remember years ago I worked in a garage and we used to service a local mp's car and one time the dopey apprentice forgot to put 1 wheel nut on a 5 nut hub. 2 days later got a visit from him absolutely fuming demanding we put it back on as he'd feared for his life :o

over one wheel nut I think not ;D

You were lucky to hear anything above the tappets then. ;D

The wheel hubs had been replaced to hide the theft.

OK, so you haven't a clue what a hub is, then. ::)

This bit made me smile...

The MP said only registered garages had equipment to remove locking wheel nuts but it was possible keys could be reproduced. He called on motoring groups to audit their security devices as a result.
...how come Halfords sell locking wheel nut removers to the Public then?

I can see why he's an MP seems perfectly qualified. Spouts "dangle-berries" about things he doesn't understand whenever a microphone is thrust in his face and is completely detached from reality.

What a retarded Moron. I have nothing but contempt for politics and politicians, as i'm sure you know. How on earth is anything expected to get done, for his constituents or anyone else, when the idiot can't understand the first thing about the second most expensive and most common purchase most people will ever make.
 Quote...
He said: "The consequences of this madness does not bear thinking about. I and others could easily have been killed. Nobody could have spotted that the wheel nuts had been removed, which makes the callous nature of the crime even worse."

When he just stated he heard a noise that could and should have been investigated immediately at the time. Was it a popular Marque of German manufacture by any chance...?

Feeling useless? Talk constant shite to anyone who will listen? Tell them anything they want to hear, promise the earth and achieve nothing in your life ever. Yes? Then become an mp.

The ARSEHOLE will probably go on a crusade to ban wheels ever being removed from a car at all now. Off to the eu to add weight to the anti modding lobby.

He'll have a locking wheel nut key in his possession just like the rest of us, but apparently they are only registered with certain garages. Moron. Utter utter Moron!

...and breeeeath. ;D

Got to try to read between the lines with these crafty shites. Not long a go he reported that his wife had been sent a dead bird in the post as some kind of threat iirc. It could well be that he knows someone has something on him,and in anticipation of it being revealed hes building himself a victim persona so that he can use it if and when he needs to.
Its a bit like that big NHS thing in the olympics opening ceremony.
Some of us were annoyed that lefty labour supporter Danny Boyle had used his position to big up left wing icons etc. and were bemused that the Tories had nothing but praise for the whole thing.
Others thought it would cause confusion to the global audience who would have no idea what the NHS was.
Earlier this week it all became clear. The NHS is to become a global brand and the right to use the brand will be sold to foriegn healthcare organisations by the government. So,the whole thing was actually  huge commercial break, which ironically was broadcast by the non commercial BBC.
