Whats the best way to reseal the Power Sounder casing, I think insulation tape would eventually let moisture at the Pcb,but Im in two minds to put it back in even though its such good condition,are there any insurance issues :-X
PS must learn to spell LOUTS = LOTUS ;D

I would use silicone sealant or self amalgamating tape - maybe both.

As for Louts - it's a very specific car which is well known in many circles.

Going by the date on your PS ...  which I read as 01/05/06 ... someone has replaced the PS already, which explains why it is in such good condition.

I would suggest araldite or something similar.. but it depends how badly you butchered the casing in taking it apart !!!

It's still 6 years old. Mine failed about then. I wouldn't put it back without replacement batteries, personally. Araldite / Evo-Stik will indeed do a much better job than gaffer tape.

Will give that a go if i decide to put it back in,kinda feel the motor not as protected as well as could be. Great Pic Murph :y Would love a Lotus just to wipe the the floor with the penny a dozen Audi.Bmw,Vw,Merc Diesel Brigade ;)

DOnt forget that the hack saw has removed the thickness of the blades worth of plastic from the casing, so it won't go back together precisely as it was before. So you'll have a gap to fill all the way round.
 Doesn't matter what's used to hold it together aslong as its water tight, as it's sited next to the drivers scuttle drain.

Spot on Chris,I was going to mention that in the post but didnt want to use the term Gutter :y,on a serious note are there any Insurance issues as mine is due for renewal which aint cheap..OH YES :y
