That was rust Turk.most of them were that colour after a couple of years. :y :D

I loved my old cortina, Mk3 2000E (so flat dash model and the square/oval headlights). Best cortina shape the Mk3's

i had a 2 door mk3
went well in 2 heats and won the destruction derby in it.

Mine went well too !, had a stage 3 head, kent cam, twin choke weber and K&N. great cars

I had a 4 year old beige 2.0GL mark 5. Turned out it was full of rust-got written off by a lorry outside the house-replaced it with a Granada 2.8Ghia auto.

thats a nice Cortina, always liked the Mk3, but have a real hankering for a Mk1 as we had one as a family car in the late 70's early 80's and I have fond memories of it.

Is it just me or the older you get the more you appreciate Cars like this  ;) :y

Or is it that you know that in 30 years there wont be many cherverlot matizs taking pride of place in someones car collection  :D
