Bizarre ebay purchase
« on: 26 October 2012, 16:09:47 »

Ok, I did an oil change a few weeks ago and used up my last VFO93 Vx filter. Made a note to get another one to replace it.

Was surfing around on the bay and found a Vx dealer selling said genuine filters for £1.75 with free postage on a buy it now.

So I ordered one and it arrived today.

Guess how much the postage cost ?????????????????

£1.92  :o

So, looks like the parts dept is doing a good trade, but the dealerships franking machine is getting a lot of use all of a sudden. So each one they sell is costing them 17 pence DOH

Funny, I saw some filters recently from a Vx dealer and they were priced at £1.29  :o so I 'watched' them, as I still need to do the spin on conversion.
Was checking my watch list the other day and the price is now £2.49! Not sure what happened there, but guess someone made a mistake  :D

They were probably all left overs from services where they couldn't be @rsed to free off the top of the canister. The one they took a ruddy great wrench to last time. ::)

Last lot of VOF93s I bought cost me £20 for a box of 20 :)

Running a tad low, will have to have another chat with my local dealer...
