Irmscher 18" sports star in ET38
« on: 23 October 2012, 04:40:28 »

I know the off set for omega is ET30, how easy do these fit in the ET38 size? Does anyone run/tried them on their omega?

You have to be quite careful on tyre size. I believe 235 will fit, some 245 brands may be borderline.

Yes they fit and handle fine.

As with the et30 though, keep within the desired size, which I can never remember.

235 40 18 is it? Anything over size in width or height can lead to rubbing issues if you add in things like rim protection.

I had 245 40 18 iirc with rim protection which was fine, but the camber needed to be spot on or the rim protection would rub on the shock body in corners when giving it some. Same size on et30 and they just rubbed on the outside edge on the wheel arch liner when the suspension was fully compressed.

So, either size, stick within 235 40 18. But then you probably would anyway.

Basickly there's 8mill difference in track per side. But yes they do fit, no problem.
