Well I'll be.
« on: 12 November 2012, 23:13:10 »

Just did a round trip to Cheltenham from Southampton. Was doing the unofficial, official cruising speed in the Omega (3.0lt auto) and bugger me if the darn thing didn't return 32MPG and that's calculated by filling the tank back up when I got home. Really comfy too, however I think I maybe able to turn the stereo down a little if I fixed the wheel bearing

We've just returned from a trip to Wales. Filled the tank and the light came on after 378 miles. Not sure if that's good or not as I've no idea how much fuel the Omega tank holds.  :y

I reckon I could squeeze another twenty miles at a push. :y

Hi, fuel tank is 75 litres= 16.5 gallons light usually comes on after using 60 litres, so 30mpg approx for 378 miles that is also what my 2.6 manual does.

No, that single wire sender is temp gauge only, the one you are looking for is the injection temp sensor,I don't recall where it is though as My Mig has been gone a while :-\

I seem to recall the ECU temp sensor (2-wire) is right beside the gauge temperature sender (1-wire) on the coolant bridge

On a long trip - Fareham to New Quay (in Wales) I've done the round trip on one tank before...  490 miles (ish)

Trip computer showed about 33mpg
