dont need it 

You need it to turn off the snow as well as turn it on 

you know what they say . there' s drivers who need that button , and those who don't.

My Merc's auto box has a switch with W and S and when I first got it I assumed that S was sport mode a la Omega, so I kept it at the W position, but couldn't understand why the car was so gutless.... 

Until I Please read the manual and realised that S was in fact Standard mode and W was Winter mode!!    Doh!!!!

W modes apparently sets you off in 2nd.

My Merc has C & S which is 'Comfort' & 'Standard' ........ I've tried to detect e difference - but can't
