« on: 12 January 2013, 00:23:36 »

Well, I helped him out to buy a car a year ago, after a failed Vx Astra he bought a 58 plate Focus, his choice ::) ::) anyway he has made just made his final payment to me, £5.5k in a year, good for him..... :y :y Been trying to have the sensible conversation about saving, he has an eye on a Nissan 4x4 Pick Up..... :D :D :D

Thing is we both know the history of this and I quite fancy it..... ::) ::) ::)

Paying 5.5k in a year is good going considering his insurance is probably about the same price for a year :(

Indeed. No need to rush out and get back into debt though. ;) A period of being debt-free every so often is refreshing IME.

You mean you actually got your money back.   :o :o ;D ;D In record time as well. I'm impressed.  :y

My son has a D40 Navara Aventura with loads of extras on it and he loves it. He keeps it spotlessly clean. It's a very capable 4x4 and has proved its usefulness many times. As far as trucks go, it is one of the nicer rides as the bed doesn't bounce like some when empty. The Aventura has loads of toys as standard as well.
According to my son, the forum's pretty good as well.  :y

Well, can't say fairer than that. I'm sure I wasn't alone in doubting you would ever see all the money back :-X

Vamps....... I could do with a new car but I'm a bit short at the mo. £5,500 should cover it and I'll pay you back within a year. :y
Not sure which year, like.

I'd think myself extremely fortunate if my youngest Stepson only wasted £5,500 of mine & swmbo's money every year! Keeping the peace don't come cheap :'(

That's a worry Phil and certainly not sustainable in the longer term, I assume....... ::) ::) ::) As a stepparent myself I understand the uniqueness of relationships that no one, who has never experienced it will ever really understand........... ;) ;)
