Did you change the oil yourself last time?

Might be worth putting replacing the engine oil and filter again, possibly using a slightly thicker grade(hot climate)

When checking the oil pressure, take out fuel and ignition relays so the car doesn't start with low pressure at least, you should be able to get enough pressure by turning the engine on the starter motor, just don't turn it too long on the starter.

If that doesn't help, change oil and filter as said, and if that weren't to help, I would take off the lower sump and check if the pickup is blocked.

Yes i changed the oil myself using gm oil 10 40w and gm filter as well. :y Got the mechanic coming round to me this week as he was the one who worked on the head gasket etc.
