Ah Chrome. 'nuff said.

Solution - uninstall all that google shite, and try a secure, reliable browser. If Windows, I'd recommend IE9/10

Didnt realize it was chrome  :( Will sort it out .
Yup, you're running Chrome on Windows 7, according to my stats. You're also reporting Safari, but I think thats because Chrome is based on crApple's Webkit engine.
wow so can you see what browser we use.And the web sites we have been on.. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Nothing at present, but does happen occasionally in the mornings, between 5-630/7 am.

This has been the case for quite some time though, so not sure if its coinciding with any backups or maintenance.
5:30 to 6am is probably best avoided, as the database is locked.

No problem, will do............. :y

I use Norton Identity Safe on my android.
Never trust anything Symantec (or Veritas, but now Symantec have bought them).

Because your Norton is happily telling the world that your Nexus 7 (Build JOP4OC) is running Android 4.2, and a Chrome browsers based on Webkit. And the versions of those ::)

So if my server was nasty, it could taylor a payload for known holes in your browser/OS combo.

This is why it is so utterly critical to keep weak browsers (Chrome, and to a lesser extent now, Firefox) bang up to date ;)

People don't realise the amount of info a web site can pick up about its visitors, anything from browser, operating system, sceen resolution, last site visited and so on and so on - suprising what you can do with a bit of java scripting  ;)

Also most webservers make available loads of stats to web site owners

You have little choice. FF is available, but not really that much better than Chrome, although usually more secure.

My point being, you've bought a product that implies it protects your identity, and already I know how to gain access to your device (which is out of date, BTW). Exercise caution, do not assume any product can protect you :y

And with mobile devices, be even more cautious around rooting (linux based) or jailbreaking (crApple and Windows RT), as you effectively remove the OS's security layer.

So .. TB doesn't like Chrome .. but is "reasonably" happy with FireFox ... how does Opera stand up ?? I tried it earlier.. seems a little slow at times, but at least it is "customisable" (if there's such a word) to what I want it to do, unlike IE which has the MS mentality of "I know best" all over the damned thing !!

For Windows, I'd always recommend, for general use, IE, for reasons of security and stability.

Opera is currently an oddity, as they are abandonning their own rendering engine, and committed to using crApple's Webkit, thus loosing its uniqueness.
