Hi all,

I had the car on my ramps and there is a sturdy wooden fence next to where I park and when I rolled down the ramp after I was done I didn't close the drivers front door enough and it hit the thick wooden post when the car was trying to go backwards/downards.

So now when the door is swung shut the little catch on the door is about 0.5-1cm too low compared to the frame and it does close but not in a smooth action anymore!!! (Hate myself sometimes)

Can anyone suggest anything.

I have put some grease on the parts in contact and now it closes much easier but still I'd like to fix it if possible.

Any ideas?

If only the hinges were adjustable .......    They're welded to both the door & the A or B post

Depends which bit is bent. A long story short, but a relative drove the FIL LEFT foot accelerator disability car & got mixed up with his feet & caught the open door which reversing. He bent the A post.

You might be able to realign the door with some wedges/blocks between the door and the pillar and some brute force. But you're even more likely to make it worse.
Take the car to a bodyshop, and see what they advise. They'll be used to dealing with such problems.
