Seat swap..
« on: 27 March 2013, 02:57:04 »

Hi all...

How hard is it to put leather CDX/ELITE seats into an MV6

Is it a straight swap or is it harder than say doing the same but for a GLS model ?

(not fussed if the memory seats don't work as long as they can be moved in all directions as they should?)

(Haven't got either car or seats just weighing up my options)

Thanks
 :)

Straight swap, but swap bolts too. Elite ones are longer I think, to get memory functions some modifications have to be made as you probably won't have the loom in place. Many have done this though  :y

what about CDX seats ?

And if I didn't do the modifications to the Elite ones would the seats still work ie. they will move in all directions and the seat heaters work  ???

CDX should be straight swap, as no memory functions. Elite would move and heat. But what's the point if no memory functions?

thanks tunnie that's most useful information  ;) ...didn't think they'd be a straight swap some how (apart from the memory settings) and if its isnt a pig of a job I would do the memory wiring possibly.

CDX/ MV6 swap is dead easy, couple of hours including tea break.

You'll have to do a little extra wiring to the Elite seats to get them to move :y
