Any one can apply to visit or emigrate to the US. Whether you get in or not depends entirely on meeting the criteria

April 1st was four weeks ago

I went to Boston....years ago.....it was for work for 2 weeks....i was told tell a porkie to the immigration.....ie holiday ....i got in ....i worked....simples 

So you (one way or tother) met their criteria, and they let you in

Who'd believe it...

Me too. They ask you if you're a terrorist at the border, so they can't get in, obviously. Real extensive security screening.

     I wonder how they will behave you with a muslim country passaport instead of a British one.. but obviously you will never learn

actually you are not wrong .. whenever CIA fiddles its originally political but they somehow use religious groups as a suitable lever..
 
however, I cant say that they are always succesful.. sometimes they hit the axe on the stone ..
 
taliban is a very good example imo.. and latest Syrian groups
