How long have you left it switched on for while you wait for the 7 safe message to go away?

I thought 7 safe meant that you still had 7 opportunities to enter the wrong code  ;D

Had the unit on for about an hour , i think davednd said 7safe was the code to time out .. soon as i press ast you are suppose to hear a beep then enter code , it dont beep or give the signal to enter code  :(

Just read this from a forum asking the same question ..

Quote
After the first 3 tries you need to leave the radio on and the ignition on for increasingly long periods of time before it will let you try again. 7 safe need you to wait at least 30 mins, and more like 1 hour.

So someone has tried the incorrect code before i purchased the car , how long i need to leave it to time out is anybodies guess  ::)

have to leave ignition on for 160 mins before entering code,or remove unit connect to 12v and leave it till it allows you to enter code
