airbag ecu?
« on: 17 May 2013, 11:13:46 »

I have a light on the dash and the local chap scanned it with his LAUNCH system and it came back with a duff controller, I guess ECU, will source one from the scrappy but are they different across the ranges i.e facelift etc?? and do they need coding?

Needs to have the same ident 2 letters IIRC, and if yours has the front passenger seat transponder fitted for child restraint, ECU needs to come from same, not programmable

All sorted, found a 2.6 from the same year and swapped the airbag ecu into mine, no light on :y

Would like to meet the pleb who thought it would be a great idea to place it directly under the cup holder though ::)
