HID front sensor link rod
« on: 09 June 2013, 16:36:29 »

Does anyone know if the small link rod on the front HID sensor is available as a separate part?

Noticed today that mine is not there  ::) ::)

The 2 ball joints that it would join to seem fine

Manually moved sensor up & down & lamps are moving fine .

If they are not available from stealers as a separate item

would   anyone have one laying in their bits box per chance ?

Or are they like "rockin' 'orse poo" ;D ;D

Am I right in thinking it does come apart from the anchor on the wishbone & the sensor itself though?

Probably comes as part of the complete thing Albs . . .  but as my sensor is working fine thought i would see if I could pick one up .

Parts catalogue may show  it  . .  .    now , who's got access to that ? ;D ;D ;D

If you have the balljoints then you could just stick an appropriate length of rod between them.
B&Q or a model shop for the rod, and araldite, sikaflex or your favourite sticky to join all 3 bits together.
