Well I was going to replace my header tank due to a faulty sensor but I've had a mess about with the float and touch wood, the check warning hasn't come on since  ;)

I may have a brand new one for sale if you are interested?  :y

I have heard of someone using a mixture of hot water (I'm assuming it's hot), either a dishwasher tab or a cheap own brand washing tab and some cat litter. Block the holes and shake like mad.

No idea how effective it is though.
