PAS pump??!!

I think my PAS pump it on its way, my 2.5 CDx auto v6 makes a clicking noise from the front end when turning the wheel and then I get a momentary lapse in steering where it goes heavy! Fluid levels are fine though, Can anyone offer advise or point me in the right direction please?
