Aside from sourcing the MV6 leather, Gary very kindly came down today lent me his tools and gave me a hand to take it out of the car, on what turned out to be a very warm day.

You're a true gent and i owe you a few beers  

I now have a slightly dirty MV6 leather interior with enough tobacco in the little trough at the front of the drivers seat to make about 10 cigarettes

Looks like my stepson is going to be busy with the leather feed and black boot polish this weekend

Thanks jay , it was no problem to help. That was the tame bit of the afternoon, heading back up the M23 i came to the junction of the M23/M25, and was sailing along at 80mph in the outside lane when the truck that was on the inside lane for the M25  blew a tyre on the trailer causing a huge chunk of rubber to fly off the rim towards my windscreen, thanks to the abs and my quick reations it sailed over the top missing my car by inches and landed in the fast lane where it was collected by a merc at warp speed ripping the bumper off..... The truck came to a halt on the hard shoulder and the driver was last seen in conversation with the merc owner  I was on the hard shoulder and managed to compose myself  to carry on home.....GOOD TO BE HERE I CAN TELL YOU.

still shaking a bit now, and i have a tightness in the back where i braced for impact, but other than that i am fine. Off out to have a couple of beers and watch the footy in wimbledon tonight with a few of the boys.

I Never thought i would hear me say come on utd. Cant stand chelscum.AND i dont like utd much either but the best of a bad bunch..

i gave my seats a bit of a clean today in time for potential viewings, and founf £1.11 down the back of the seat

its been a good day!!

When i bought the leather for my estate a couple of years ago i found £50 rolled up and stuck under the seat cushion above the motor. that leather cost me £40 after that find.  That was a good day.
