Seem's my windows 7 can't open dil files

I don't know why, or even what a dil file is!

I keep getting thrown to file extension sites offering me stuff like regfix and the like but they seem a bit dodgy. Trying to load a driver that is in the file!

Any help very muchly appreciated

If you are certain .. are you SURE its not a .DLL ?? (Dynamic Linked Library) files very common windows file those ..

Yes. And if you delete one of them, you stupid computer keeps telling you it can't find it at startup. I know this.....

What driver are you trying to load (obviously not a plug and play device) and how are you trying to do it?

You shouldn't be (directly) trying to run a DLL.  These are libraries and functions that an application/driver/kernel load in to provide functionality.
