Hi chaps
Well my Omega is p**sing me off again. So From time I got it ( 2 month ago) replaced MAF sensor, 2 wheel bearings, rear shocks, LPG kit was repaired as was switching to Petrol whenever wanted without signal or warning. Last things that need to be done : Crankshaft sensor is F*cked. It starts 99% of the times when cold(it used to anyway), but sometimes when hot would not have it for at least 40 minutes. Checked resistence when would not start - way too high 16kohm. When running ok - 600-ish ohms. ordered a sensor and waiting it to be delivered from UK ( Opel here said 1 month to be delivered through them). Obviously Original siemens (as my one) . So Went yesterday morning and it would not start - checked resistance - all ok - 600ohms. Checked connections and everything - still would not start. Went to work in my Luton Van ( working for a city council as a EU project manager looked quite wrong). Got back home ... Omega still would not start. So did paperclip test.... Oh my .. besides the normal 31 code i got 89. it appears its O2 sensor on bank 2. But would it stop car to start??? had it previously on another vehicle and would not stop engine from doing its job. From memory it was running rich, but would still work.
Will investigate further time allowing this evening as have to start on my recovery van project ( well acctually started yesterday by removing luton body). Could always drive my banger mazda to work, but it looks even worse than my ex Luton van.
