exhaust manifold torque - Haynes has changed his mind!
« on: 08 September 2013, 11:15:20 »

Panic! I have fitted my exhaust manifold, torqued  20Nm as Haynes recommended. For my birthday Wife gave me a new Haynes manual. It says 'Exhaust manifold securing nuts 45Nm'. Which is right?

Thanks. Silly me. My daughter in law has a Rover Streetwise which I service. I had grabbed the wrong Haynes manual - the figure I quoted was for the Rover. No harm done.
