omega 2.5td problem (HELP PLEASE!)

wel lad i recently got a 2.5td omega...lovely car to drive but there is just one problem. when im driving down the road and up the revs when i go to change gear the engine managment light comes on and i loose all power. i leave my leg off the accelerator and press it down again and the light goes off and its perfect again until i go to change gear again.

any idea what could be wrong?

any info greatly appreciated  :y

Will need to understand what it thinks is wrong. Try a paperclip test (see maint guides for code reading - some tractors are paperclippable)

As said try and get any fault codes read, for the time being what year?, and Auto or Manual?

il try and get a diagnostic test on it....its 00 manual
