Is it a 1 day offer thing, or does it just start today?

Spot on. The offers are from opening that day till they run out.

You cannot reserve an item in advance. having said that I managed to get a mouth organ reserved at our local store!

I have one of those battery chargers from a previous offer. Pleased with it. I haven't had occasion to take anything back(yet) but other people report they don't quibble.
