cooling fan behind radiator (2.2) running constantly.
Any ideas?

So why is the engine cooling fan behind the radiator running then?

(air con runs the air con fan(s) in front of the radiator.)

It was a suggestion made without thinking too much .......  it's late  ::) What some describe as 'behind', others describe as 'in front'  :-\

Maybe I missed a  :-\ :-\ out .....  ;)

Somewhere out there on the interweb there is a set of instruction on how the fans are meant to work and how to test them.

I once found the link on ABS and more recently found a link on the Cadillac Catera forum.

Buggered if I can find it now though :(

How? you just use a piece of wire to bridge the various terminals ..... without shorting live to ground  ???   ;)  ;)

Any idea where sensor for fan is located?

with the fan constantly running will the test be possible?
