If they're anything like petrol BMW engines, you'll struggle to find a plastic impeller.

I meant plastic.
But you're right, I should have written 'metal pumps are much easier to find.'

Firstline FWP 1588 Bmw water pump, obtained from SES Ltd.
I fitted this 3 years ago and its been absolutely fine.
I run without the viscous fan fitted!

If they're anything like petrol BMW engines, you'll struggle to find a plastic impeller.
Most of these, including the GM and LR ones (straight from BMW), as plastic impellors. And shit.

I only fit Unipart metal-impellered water pumps on the TDs; and've had no issues whatsoever with 'em.

Part number is UGCGWP2585 ... around 40 quid from Unipart stockists.

One near you too: http://www.unipart.com.au/wps/wcm/connect/unipart/unipartgroup/admin/uabranchlist
