Haynes manual
« on: 27 October 2013, 19:38:50 »

How accurate are the Haynes manuals? I'm looking at a picture of the engine in the manual and it's different to my engine, the trumpets in the picture are really long my are about 2 thirds shorter. I have a pre-facelift 2000 3.0 MV6.  The manual is for an omega 1994-1999

Manual is fine for pretty much every Omega job from the earliest cars to the newest :y

2.5s and early 3.0s have short plenums with long 'trunks' from the intake 'bagpipes'.

later 3.0s and all 2.6/3.2s have longer plenums with short 90° pipes from the 'bagpipes'.

Hth :y
