Rear brake pipe
« on: 04 November 2013, 22:09:44 »

Need to change my rear os one to the calliper. Can it be bought from vx, or must I make one?

My dealer was less than helpful as their computer was screwed!

Dealers don't sell them ime. I got a local place to make me some up,then bent them to shape as I was fitting them. Its been a long time since I did rear pipes on an Omega (it was the first DIY job I ever did on my first one) but iirc its a bit of a pita.

I had same. Need to make one, I just got my local guy to do both sides. Was about £30 for both made & fitted. otherwise would have had to buy bending tools ect.

My local factor will not make them any more, because his insurer will not cover him in the event of failure. However, he will let me use his kit to make my own, just charging for the pipe and unions used.
