Hahahahahahahaha.......................hahahahahahaahahahaha

Just topped up my autobox. The physical act of filling went well. The cuprinol sprayer pipe fits like a dream..... I could leave it in while pumping away. Got a nicely full autobox now.

However, what didn't go so well was when I pulled the hose out from the box when it started running out  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I negated to consider the residual pressure that would be in the sprayer thus when I pulled the hose out I got covered. and I mean COVERED! hahahaha I couldn't get the lid off to release the pressure as id done it up too tight

So got the road outside the house covered as well hahaha

Note to self: take car to far away place when next topping up  ;D

Yes they do work well  :)

Always worth remembering to let pressure out when done though  ;D

Which is where a suitably sized plastic tube 'screwed' into the fill/level hole wins  ;D. You're only pouring a small amount of oil in at a time, and when the oil starts to show a level in the bottom of the tube, the gearbox is full. I then jacked the side of the car a little so I could remove the filler tube & re-fit the plug.

if I had half a brain Andy I'd have at the very least put a catch pan underneath. I didn't bother as I thought ''only a bit will trickle out'' so I just put my usual cardboard under  ;D ;D ;D stupidly wasn't expecting 2 million bar of pressurised ATF straight in my face, all down my coat and all over the floor  ;D ;D ;D

Perhaps a pair of Mole Grips or brake hose clamp at hand might be a good idea if you do it again  ;)
