Alternator
« on: 21 December 2013, 20:33:05 »

Hello All,

As its raining again; to save me a soaking I thought I'd ask if the spec for my '98 2.5 Petrol Omega Altenator is a simple matter.  I looked on OSP website and it seemed there could be a few options.  Can anyone offer advice to save me getting the flu for Christmas?

Mant thanks,

Martin

Superb! Thanks a million.
Just been checking OSP.  None in stock...  I can't post on the spares for sale/wanted area, so just a bit stuck at the mo.

Many thanks,

Martin

Thanks again.

I got a request moved some time back but I didn't want to look like a serial crawler.

I'll send PMs as directed.

Thanks for the help on this.

Happy Christmas!

I'd love to get my post count up but time is the major problem.  I can't believe the 21st century!  4 kids fillany available time after work ands weekends.

The site is superb and over a period I have done a top-end rebuild on my car and found loads or really useful help and great people with superb knowledge.

I'll get there eventually but it may take soem time. :y

Hello Rob,

Just to update:  As you know I bought the Altenator from the link you provided.  "Popped it on" yesterday (that took ages longer than I was hoping) but; result!  Got rid of my grinding noise and running beautifully again.

Thanks again,

Martin :y

I thought I have a leisurely hour or so Rob.  Including a few interruptions it took an astounding 4.5 hrs!!!!!! Azheimers doesn't help I suppose.  Still very satisfied with the result though!

Definately a refurb to be done (in case I need it in 10 years or so) ;D
