Oil in spark plug ?????
« on: 18 January 2014, 10:30:48 »

Just changing my spark plugs on a 2.6 and I have oil in no 5 spark plug.  :(

Any one know the cause if this? Car seems to drive ok wondering if it is a leaking rocker cover.

Cam cover gasket. Sadly it needs to be genuine part, as pattern ones will usually last somewhere between 1 week and 6 months.

Also clear out the breathers, which can also lead to premature gasket failure.

Guides in Maint guides :)

Ok thanks for the advice. Getting it booked in for cam belt soon so will get them to do the cam cover gasket at the same time.

Is it this part I need to replace?

Part No.: 369720071 Was £5.28
Now £3.24

Will get it from vauxhall when I do get it done but found this on euro car parts, just used them to see what part looked like.

The GM part is about £40 a side, plus the o-rings (8 a side).

No idea about part numbers from ECP, I don't ever use their crap.
