Transfer deadline day
« on: 31 January 2014, 14:00:26 »

Very exciting. As far as I can see, teams sell players that they bought two seasons ago for lots of money, to another team, for lots of money. Apparently, these players were good when they were bought, but are not good now, except to the team who are buying them. They think they are very good.
Sometimes, if a player is sold because he's not good, but then he becomes good, he is bought back again for less than he was sold for. With me?
Sometimes a player is only a bit good, but not bad. So he goes to another club for no money, but they pay his wages, and he can't play against the team who actually bought him.

The people who make all of this happen, the 'agents', take about 5% of all this money and are, consequentially, very rich. They can't actually play football, but know exactly which player would make a team play better so, I guess, are worth every penny.

I might be a football agent, if a vacancy arise. :y :y

I'll be your 1st client then. I'm 43, haven't played in 15 years, have a bit of a twinge in my back every now and then and love a good drink.
I require somewhere in the region of 75-100k per week and value myself around 20M-good 5% in that for you.
Get on the blower, I await your call.   ;D

I'll wager that he doesn't work a 35 hour week either.

Probably more like 12-15 hours including training.

The rest of his time is spent at a Ferrari dealership, followed by swanky London nightclub. :-\

Sometimes a Daewoo is only a bit good, but not bad. So it goes to another owner for no money, but they pay for its repairs, and it can't be used by the person who actually bought it.

The people who make all of this happen, the 'used car salesman', take about 5% of all this money and are, consequentially, very rich. They can't actually repair Daewoos, but know exactly which car would make a person's life better so, I guess, are worth every penny.

I might be an Arthur Daily used car salesman again, if a vacancy arises. :y :y

Fixed, and all perfectly clear.  ;D ;D ;D ;D
