2nd question
« on: 07 February 2014, 21:07:43 »

Just realised I meant to ask about something else while asking about the steamy window problem.I don't think it's in any way related mind you.Last week I had the battery off the car for a charge up since then  the front passenger door doesn't lock with the central locking-it always did before-any ideas why this should be?Some times[but not every time]it doesn't unlock with the central locking either!

Have a read of Kevins guide to Repairing A Central Locking Motor

When mine started playing up I replaced the switches but it didn't help  :( so I think the electric motor was tired. I fitted a new one and that fixed the problem.

The remaining problem is that the plastic strip in the door trim that engages in metal clips in the door has partially broken off (it wouldn't come out of the metal clips >:() and now the door trim and locking pin rattle :( . Each time I took the trim off to get to the motor it has got a bit worse :( :(
