Still a while to go before my next check up but iv'e lost 8lb in weight  it dont feel i lost that amount but the scales dont lie  Just about a stone and a half to lose to be ideal weight  Hopefully the diabetes will disappear

it will never disappear completely ,I'm afraid.. only the symptoms and effects can be lightened

you always have to stay awake and watch/control it carefully..

Arh i been watching too many tv shows saying they have overcome diabetes
  Still managing it will be no problem

Don't worry too much, as long as you are sensible you won't have any problems . I have had it for 7 years now(type 2) and can honestly say I have had no bad incidents.

steve what are your glucose levels just to compare with mine im type  1 so it would be interestng to see the difference
