CDR 2005
« on: 21 February 2014, 18:14:59 »

On/off button has to be pushed hard to make it work and impossible to set volume using it. Steering wheel controls not much better, volume very difficult to control and today the unit has started to switch itself off on it's own.

Very frustrating, not done anything different to cause this, on/ off button was always a bit iffy but it's awful now.

Anybody had similar ? Is it fixable ?

Thanks for reading.

Loose joint on board causing On/Off problems. Fixed one of mine with a strategically placed blob of superglue after dismantling front

For both button and steering wheel issues, I'd be thinking more fundamental problem.

If you have the code, pull it out for 2hrs.

TB, Cheers, I do have the code. I'll try unplugging it for a while.

Dave, thank you. If no joy with above, I'll be in touch.

Thanks gents
