OOF courier service request please?
« on: 26 February 2014, 11:08:43 »

As some will know, MrsEgg left me :(
So I'm a bit short of cash, and furniture :( :(
I have my camping gear, and a house, so not too bad  :y
But...
I need a sofa - I have the equipment to make a TG-style seat
TB is offering a black leather rear seat from a mig, but it's in Brackley, and although I could do with a day out, the 280 mile round trip is beyond my financial means at the moment. :(

So I was wondering if anyone was travelling up from there to Leeds and would have room to transport it for me?

Alternatively, I have a tentative offer of transport from Bromwich to Leeds on Sunday, if I can get it to BlackViper90210 by Saturday

Sorry to hear of your troubles  :(

Wrong direction I know, but I can see myself in Brackley in the next week or two, as I need to collect a few things. So I can potentially get it further down South, so if anyone around Surrey London area is doing a run past Leeds/Bromwich might make things easier.

Getting to Leeds is the problem, but I have two single bed frames, a caravan oven with hob (and cylinder) if they would help?

Ron.

Thanks for the offer, Ron - it's VERY kind of you  :y
I've got a cooker coming from a local charity, and family have rallied round with a few sticks of furniture, including a bed, so I'm not completely destitute.
At least I have the house!

If someone is able to get it to the top of the M40 area, then I'd be more than happy to meet up and swop over if that makes it easier??
It will be early sat or sun morning though :)

I am not going anywhere near Leeds in the near future but I do have a perfectly good 2 seater brown suede sofa going spare shortly, once the new one arrives in a few weeks.

I was going to donate it but it's there if you want :y

A tad "off topic" .. but have you had a look at "freecycle" ?? the one down here seems to have a fair amount of furniture available ??

If you want to look at other town/city groups use this

No idea if its any help but next Wednesday night (5th March) I should be travelling from Basingstoke to somewhere around Brimingham, possible jct 2 M5 or maybe up the other side as far as Lichfield/ Burton

Not 100% set in stone but likely, so if someone can do it sooner take the offer

If it doesn't happen this weekend for him, you can drop them off with me anyway (Jn4 M5) and I'll hold til someone else can forward them on.  :y

I've sent a few emails for bits and pieces I need - tbh, I'd been expecting this for a while, so I made plans.
Just a suite, really, that I'm short of - and since I already have the black leather MV6 interior, thought that + TBs seat would give me a 1+1+2+2 suite.

It's the ability to transport from Brackley NOW I'm stuck with - another month, I'll probably have the cash+time

I reckon the cheapest way of refurnishing is to use the local bargain search on here  http://www.baycrazy.com/  . It shows the local ebay stuff that people need shut of and is usually chock full of smart sofas going for pennies and other stuff that's being replaced.

Failing that I have some very smart leather front sport seats from a 2002 Hyundai coupe if anyone is heading up your way from Liverpool. Sorry to hear whats happened obviously !
