I think i will have to go down the DIY route as i have an engineering background, but i have never worked or used LPG.
So where is the best place to pick up all i need.
2003 3.2 V6 Estate.
Tank in spare wheel recess, and i would like to close the wheel cover flat.
what size tank would i get in there and how far could i get with the contents.
Remember that you can only fill tank to 80%.
Some have fitted 72l tanks in wheelwheel, but had to fabricate a raised floor, as it stands slightly proud by about 30mm.
IME, fit the largest tank you possibly can, as there seems to be more wastage than expected when refilling - every time I short fill mine, the MPG plummets.
From my 3.2 (saloon) with 80l tank, I tend to average 17mpg, that's with a Stag 300+. From my 3.0 (saloon) I tend to average 19mpg (Stag+). Mrs TB tends to make these figures 20mpg and 23mpg respectively.
Fuel savings, generally around a third IME (base on filling 80l tank). I tend to pop half a tank of petrol in them about 3-4 times a year.
