Emissions readings

Can any expert advise on what these readings mean and how good or bad they were on my TD MOT :y :y :y

Test Limit applied:-      1.5  l/m

Absorption coefficient:   0.94 l/m   4680 l/m    Zero drift   0.00 l/m
Absorption coeff. after: 0.94 l/m
correction

Test type applied:     Fast Pass

Test result:                 Pass

I think you are looking at the smoke test result. A light is shone across a sample of exhaust and the absorption coefficient calculated due to the amount of light absorbed.

Light is measured in lumens (lm). Fluid flow rate is sometimes measured in litres per minute (l/m) so it doesn't give me much confidence that whover put the form together knew what units they were measuring.............

It used to be a test carried out using one (or preferably two)  "Mk1 eyeballs".

Now they have a machine to measure excessive visible smoke.........
