BTW .. the clearance between the prop-tip and the fuselage is .....  6 inches !!!!  They've had to put bracing struts in to stop it twisting itself off, and the "chocks" were specially designed !!

It is estimated that when the flight trials start, the new engine at "flight idle" power will produce the same thrust as an existing "old" one (Alison T56-15 !) at max power !!

So what turbine is driving the prop......not the new eurojet?

Another co production from the main European gas turbine companies, RR of course included.

SNECMA as well - they helped a little with the Bristol Siddley Olympus Concorde version
