Omega internals don't really fit those flip keys, plus no boot button if you have a facelift.

that would be a shame, my ones are estates so no boot button to worry about, anyone tried to fit the internals?

Martin did 2 flip keys for me on my old Elite with just the 2 buttons.

The blade ideally should be a new blank but cut for the original key number as the proto-type he  made first using the original key blade was very wobbly and after only a few days use it snapped.Once the unshaped new cut key was used it was a whole lot better as the key end was squared , but really never used them much as was always  worried about the blade snapping again and found the fob much bulkier in my pocket.

From my experience I wouldn,t trouble with it as a mod  :-\

thanks for the info.
going to change the fob anyway as my current one is a bit worn, hence thought the new one will be worth a try. will let you know how it goes.

Have successfully done this with one of my keys. Swapped the guts from the original key, new blade cut. Works perfectly!
