When you woke up in the morning feeling unwell, and you could walk up to the doctors surgery and be seen?

Now you have to sit on the phone from 08:00 in the morning, constantly dialing and getting an engaged tone.

An hour and half later you get through, only to be told all the appointments have been taken for the day, try again in the morning!

+1 here as well , ring up at 8am on the dot and 15-20 in the que before you  >:( >:(
Then when you dont see your own gp you have to explain everything from 20 years ago  :(

I try to avoid doctors like the plague, because it would be hard to find a more dysfunctional bunch of people.

Did you know that the average doctor is SEVEN times more likely to commit suicide than the population in general?.

My mother has had two of her doctors 'top themselves'...........and another one was 'moved elsewhere' because of a narcotics problem.

Mr stemo you being a NW chap from that area do you have a reserved space at your doctors to pick-up your meds and sick note.
Haven't needed to go to the docs for seven years. The chest pains I had a while back were the first hospital visit in almost twenty. However, when I need an appointment for wife/son, I can always get same day. Our surgery is open till nine two days a week, can't remember which days.
