engine shake
« on: 11 May 2014, 14:26:14 »

 afternoon all,

can someone please advise me as to what the cause of shaking is when the car is in stationary traffic, idling etc, the car feels a bit sluggish like it is possibly misfiring.

could this be a reason for the shaking? :-\

Probably a miss-fire, or engine problem. Even with very tired engine mounts the idle should be quite smooth.

Does your A/C still work ?

I ask as mine always idles a 'little' rougher when A/C Compressor is off.  Can be felt through the Gear Stick (I have Manual Transmission :y)

With A/C on she is silky smooooooooooth  :)

Is the engine light on? Pedal trick for you anyway. :)
