Does anyone know the width size of the centre pulley bolt that holds the pulley to the crankshaft?

What size spanner would you need? Generally a 24mm spanner fits a M16 bolt, 19mm spanner fits a M12 bolt

Fairly sure its 24mm Socket, so on that basis should be M16, seem to also remember there a pita to get undone aswell.

You're not hitting the spanner hard enough  Though I have say I've not had the need to undo an Omega's crank pulley bolt, but a large knocking stick worked very well on my Senator

You can borrow my 3M Scaffold Tube, when you do.

Though I suspect the hammer route would be more effective than a scaffold tube due to auto gearbox

Reason I'm asking is I found this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McoQp3dn1Cs and it shows him using a 2 inch plastic tube and a big washer similar to these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=251313221521&ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:GB:3160 and the original bolt to press the new oil crank seal in. So I want to make sure the hole in the washers will not be to big or to small for the bolt.

Likewise. I thought the crank pulley on a 4 was all one piece unlike a V6's that has a central boss that grooved pulley bolts to

I have just looked at mine and it has the centre 17mm bolt to the crankshaft and 4 Torx E10 bolts holding the pully wheel on. I would have taken a photo but it's raining again.
