When I was a boy I lusted after a particular fishing rod (yes, you read that correctly, A fishing rod) not the latest edition of Health & Efficiency magazine ! (Google it)

Santa was good, and lusted after fishing rod turned up on Christmas Day

Some days later, little Rog wanted to go pike fishing. Mum & Dad and gave him a lift to fishing place with a pre arranged time for pick-up.

Pick up and then drive home, and "Where's my new fishing rod" at home

Answer, back at fishing place. Returned to fishing place, but of course fishing rod gone.

No, Mum & Dad did not get me another one. A lesson in life . . . .

Similar story with the fishing rod. . . . Got new daiwa cross x (or something like that) match rod. Two days I took it on my bike to fishing lake only to realise I'd ridden over it and snappe it in half  :'(

No sorry....ebayed it..started it at 0.99p   and some nice old  guy in wales bought it at 0.99p for his son who had lost his and then decided because his son was all grown up that he had given up fishing and had a new hobby (vauxhall omega ) and spent his spare time on that instead....So the old fella  decided to use it on his  allotment and i think he used it as a cane for his runner beans, :D :D :D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
