The driver of the red Scania has some explaining to do :-\ Guess the fatality was the driver of the grey Iveco judging by what's left of the cab... :o

Struggling to see what the grey Iveco hit? Nothing else is that damaged. Unless already removed. :-\

And I thought the idea behind those concrete barriers was to withstand lorry impacts better.

Clearly not. I assumed they had some depth and foundations to hold them in place.

Watch the video again... front nearside corner of the red cab facing the wrong way with a chunk of barrier alongside the trailer...

No way on this planet that red truck could have done anything other than cross the central reservation and still be upright and facing the way it is :-\

The first link shows it after the clear up I believe. Looks like the red truck had been moved but I'd agree it does appear to be the only vehicle facing the wrong way.

This link shows an additional picture.

Ok, a quick google shows a few pics through the day. Looks icy, certainly a heavy frost first thing. Red Scania crosses central reservation? Cobelfret Merc swerves and over cooks into the central reservation. Iveco then swerves in reaction and jack knives into the Merc...

That red artic keeps moving in various pictures as the day progresses... not visible in this pic... but if it's where it is in this one... it should be in the first pic... :-\
