I'll start from the beginning.

Pretty much every car I've had so far I've fitted coilovers and quite often ta technix or that kind of cheap brand but I've never been to disappointed. Until now...

Last weekend I fitted the kit, set the front to a nice drop and lowest on the rear, the result

It looks like a bloody hot rod and I think the rear is even higher than standard

So I've been on to the eBay seller and exchanges pictures to which he replies the rear coil adjuster must be on the bottom of the spring! That's his big soloution, firstly the adjuster is on the bottom of the spring and secondly it would make no difference at all if it were on the top. It's still the same length!

So I'm awaiting another reply on that, today I thought I'd up the front to match a little and see what was knocking? I first assumed it was from being to low and bottoming out but no, when the car is on the floor the spring looks like this


As you can see it's almost coil bound already, the average gap is 3mm of which there are 5 meaning 15mm of suspension travel, this is just pure dangerous and bad design.

For reference the spring numbers are
Rear evo1711
Front main evo1010
Front helper evo100

I haven't even started on the rear shocks yet, they seem to be for the saloon which can cause its own problems.

I'm now trying to get a full refund or possibly upgrade to a fk kit, they company are very slow to reply but are trying to help.

Before anyone mentions it, yes I did play with the self leveling and completly disconnected them, which changed nothing.

Looks like the weight of the car is completely over powering the springs. Is the suspension kit correct for your car? Perhaps for a 4 cylinder? ...although even if so, that's still a lot of weight those springs can't cope with.

If the shocks are correct and If the seller was knowledgeable they should be able to supply the correct springs.

But clearly that's not right. It was much relief to read your text, after seeing the pics.

Those springs clearly aren't going to work on an Omega, so I'd return them for a refund, as they are unfit for purpose.

If he quibbles, quote the distance selling regs (assuming you bought them mail order).

Well I've been emailing the company all the info in the world and got annoyed with him asking the same questions and broken English ( as if mines any good ), so today I set up a dispute after he said I'll only get a partial refund because it's 'used'.

Like it's been said this kit is clearly badly designed or for the wrong car, let just hope eBay can see the problem and award me a full refund. I can box up the kit and tell him to collect it by courier himself.

Did you manage to resolve this? I'm having a similar issue with the front coilover springs on my Omiga, the car crashes about like you wouldn't believe and I think this is purely down to the fact that the springs can't deal with the weight of the V6 hanging over them! Having spoken to TA Technix direct he is saying I need EVO 1010 or EVO100 to cure the issue but having seen this thread obviously that isn't the case after all!

Not sure of his username but James Whiting has recently fitted a full coilover kit made by TA Technix to his saloon and by all accounts it fits perfectly!!

Sorry for the late reply, my only solution was to open a case against the seller and return the item for a refund, the kit is obviously dangerous and poorly designed, it's very similar to the problems the 106/saxo boys have got.

I've played around with many coilover kits before and while you could fit stiffer springs with less coils you'll just have a bouncy ride then as the shocks won't be matched, all I've done since is buy some apex -40mm springs and haven't even fitted them yet.

I do wish hsd would start selling the kit again but I guess they stopped for a good reason!!

Bilstien B4's or B6's and Eibach 30mm drop springs work very well with Omega 
Anymore drop and it will screw up the geometry in a very big way
