Pah.

You Oldies were worried about the Police?  Back then, if you were lucky you'd get a Mini...... If you were very unlucky you'd meet a Zephyr, or an MGA.  I could outrun those on a pushbike!  ;D

This is what I had to contend with;

And I didn't get a 'telling off' or a 'clip around the ear'ole' I'd get a bloody summons!

Old Un's eh?  Don't know they are born!  ;D

They had Mini Metro's and Rover SD1's in my day, alas (for them) neither was a match for a GSX 750 ET that was piloted by a loon with no sense of danger or death  ;D ;D
We used to say among ourselves back then (1982) that if the police wanted to catch us they'd have to have vehicles that could at least match us for power to weight ratio, it took them the best part of 20 years to follow that advice  ::)

Twice I've been stopped for "driving in a manner likely to cause early arrival", once was a fully marked Focus (d'oh), once was a 330d estate. Oh, and once got stopped at 3am in my vRS. "Dave, is it?" "no! I know how this sounds, but I have seriously only just bought it".
