Yeah, sounds like you've hit something hard enough to move the steering knuckle to shock alignment - that's impressive!  :D

Is the wheel ok?

Yes.  :y

The first thing I noticed was it was pulling hard to the left and looked at the tyre which was starting to wear on the inside edge.  A few days later it was through the wires!  :o  It did have a noticeable lean top inwards.  ::)

Obviously not an early MV6 'made of fudge' wheel then  ;)

When you said you could see the camber was out it reminded me of the time I mistakenly took my GSi Carlton to a VX dealer for alignment after a front suspension rebuild and they gave me it back with one wheel bolt upright and the other with visibly massive negative camber.  This was a long time ago when proper 4 wheel alignment places were few and far between.  I told them to check it again and was amazed that they couldn't see what was wrong, they insisted that it was correct according to their machine so I threatened them with trading standards and asked for my money back but they said I'd have to write a letter of complaint.  I took it to a proper place (Pro-Grip in Bonnybridge, now in Larbert) and sent a complaint letter to the VX dealer with a copy of the pre-adjustment printout - they eventually gave me my money back "as a good will gesture" but admitted no fault -a$$holes!  Lesson well learned, I've used Pro-Grip ever since, guy really knows his stuff.

I have to do this job soon, so apologies to Mr Gonads for butting into his thread, but do the wishbones have to come out or can you just drop the front out of the hanger?  ???  :-\

TIA  :y

Yes you can. Need clearance under the car to work though. So Jack it onto ramps first, for example. Then just undo the front bolt, pull the wishbone down enough to work, wedge it with a block of wood, fit the bush out with a jig saw and metal blade, fit the polys. Job jobbeds's

Half hour aside with a bit of practice. ...and a sharp jigsaw blade.
