Radio Interferance when heated rear window switched on
« on: 03 March 2015, 19:17:19 »

Dear all,

Some time ago I had this problem with My car radio reception.  I sourced another arial amp and got ready to remove the rear shelf to fit it.  Before going ahead, I re-read the repies I got and decided to check all of the elements in the heated rear window.  I found the bottom three were broken.  I fixed them today using conductive paint and the interferance has stopped.

I recomend that any one who has this problem tries this first as it is a lot easier than replacing the areal amp.

Yep, get a little crack in the tracks on the window and they can arc, which causes interference. :y
